Description
Magnesium Nitrate Fertilizer
Dosage
- Recommended Foliar Spray Dosage: Dosage: 0.5-1% solution (i.e., 5-10 grams per liter of water) Frequency: Every 10–15 days, depending on plant need and weather Application time: Early morning or late afternoon to avoid leaf burn
- How to Prepare: For a standard garden sprayer (10 liters): Add 50-100 grams of Magnesium Nitrate Fertilizer to 10 liters of water Stir well until fully dissolved Spray evenly on leaf surfaces
- Precautions: Do not exceed 2% concentration, as higher rates can cause phytotoxicity Avoid spraying on hot, sunny days Test on a few plants before broad use, especially on sensitive species
Benefits
Provides readily available nitrogen
Nitrogen is a crucial nutrient for plant growth, and Magnesium Nitrate is a quick-acting source of this essential element. It promotes vigorous vegetative growth, enhances leaf development, and contributes to a healthy green canopy.
Rich in Magnesium
Essential for Photosynthesis: Magnesium is the central atom of the chlorophyll molecule. Adequate magnesium ensures the plant can efficiently capture sunlight and convert it into energy (photosynthesis), leading to a deeper, richer green color and vigorous growth.
Improved Cation Uptake
The nitrate form of nitrogen promotes the uptake of other essential positive ions (cations) like Potassium , Calcium , and, most importantly, the Magnesium it is paired with.
100% Water Soluble
Magnesium Nitrate Fertilizer dissolves quickly and completely in water without leaving residues, making it perfect for drip irrigation, micro-sprinklers, and hydroponic systems where filters and nozzles must not clog.
Things to Consider
Nutrient composition
Magnesium nitrate supplies nitrate nitrogen (N) and magnesium (Mg). Nitrogen is a primary macronutrient, and magnesium is a secondary macronutrient. Check the GACIL product label for the guaranteed nutrient percentages.
Application rates
Always follow the instructions on the product label for proper dilution and application frequency to avoid overfertilization.
Plant compatibility
Certain plants might be sensitive to specific nutrients. Research the appropriate blends for your plant types.
Soil testing
Use soil and irrigation-water tests to assess nutrient needs. Include this fertilizer within a balanced feeding programme based on crop requirements and the GACIL product label.
